Bengals can be left alone for moderate amounts of time [ i.e. a normal work day] but not hours on end, the reason being that Bengals are very social cats and need to be with another animal or person to keep him happy and sane. If you have a dog or another cat your Bengal will be a lot happier when you go away for the day.
